Module 5.2 – Close Reading 1

Understanding, analysing and evaluating non-fiction texts which convey complex information.

Module 5.3 – Close Reading 2

Understanding, analysing and evaluating further non-fiction texts.

Module 5.4 – Textual Analysis

Applying the skills learned in Close Reading to selected literary texts taken from prose, poetry and drama.

Module 5.5 – Critical Essay

Study of literary texts; essay skills demonstrating technical accuracy

Module 5.6 – Prose Composition

Writing in different genres including personal, creative, discursive, creative short story
