Module 1.2
Task 2 - Simple Formulae

A.M.D.G.

All formulae start with an equals sign, = , this lets the spreadsheet know that what follows is a calculation. Then just type or click on the cell addresses you want to use in your calculation.

In MS Excel one workbook is made up of a lot of worksheets. In each task in this unit use a different sheet for each task but keep all work in a single workbook.

In your Jotter, Express the following as spreadsheet formulae:

1. Cells A2, A3, and A4 are multiplied together.

2. Cell B9 is subtracted from cell B10.

3. The values in cell C5 and D5 are added together then divided by 2.
