Develop the ability to negotiate a design brief showing personal interest and relevance to chosen area of design
I dentify design issues
Present ideas relating to chosen area of design

Module 5.2 – Design Activity Consideration

Show an understanding of design issues, constraints and implications
Show inventiveness and flexibility in handling a variety of materials both 2 and 3 dimensionally
Consider a possible outcome and present this accordingly

Module 5.3 – Design Activity Final Outcome

Present the outcome in an appropriate format.
Final outcome should meet the requirements of the design brief

Module 5.4– Design Activity Evaluation

Develop the ability to review and evaluate the design process.
Identify strenghts/weaknesses.
Identify effectiveness of outcome.

Module 5.5 - Art and Design Studies (Design)

Develop a knowledge and understanding of Art and Design in both historical and contemporary contexts.
Develop and present relevant factual information and personal judgements coherently.

Module 5.6– Expressive Activity Investigation

Investigation of an appropriate theme indicating personal interest
Develop the ability to investigate the theme using the visual elements
Select and handle appropriate media and techniques

Module 5.7– Expressive Activity Consideration

Development of personal ideas demonstrating a personal and imaginative response to the chosen theme
Demonstrating an experimental and imaginative approach to handling different media and techniques
Development of personal ideas showing identifiable lines of development module description

Module 5.8– Expressive Activity Final Outcome

Develop a final outcome showing an appropriate use of the visual elements
Produce a final outcome showing consistent assurance and control of appropriate media
Create a finished piece of work which clearly conveys thoughts and ideas relating to chosen theme

Module 5.9 - Art and Design Studies (Visual Arts)

Develop a knowledge and understanding of Art and Design in both historical and contemporary contexts.
