o Term Exam - this will cover all
of Unit 1
o Prelim Exam - this will include
material from all of Unit 1 and Unit 2
o Unit 3 Exam - this will cover
all of Unit 3 but also include material from Unit 1 and Unit 2
Unit 2: Genetics and Adaptation

Variation; meiosis; genetics; mutations; evolution; selection; speciation;
artificial selection; animal & plant adaptations in relation to
maintaining water balance; obtaining food and coping with dangers.
Unit 2 is assessed by:
o NAB 2 Genetics and Adaptation –Minimal assessment 26/40 required
to pass
o Prelim Exam - this will include
material from all of Unit 1 and Unit 2
o Unit 3 Exam - this will cover

Unit 3: Control and Regulation
Control & Regulation 1 (Chapters 27-36)
Growth in plants and animals; genetic & hormonal control; environmental
influences; control of the internal environment in animals and plants;
regulation of plant and animal populations.
•Unit 3 is assessed by both:
o NAB 3 Control and Regulation -Minimal
assessment 26/40 required to pass
o Unit 3 Exam - this will cover
all of Unit 3 but also include material from Unit 1 and Unit 2
Term Exam:
• This assessment will examine all of Unit 1.
Prelim:
