An introduction to improvisation and basic drama conventions: role-on-the-wall; tableaux; forum theatre; hot-seating. Using the skills learnt; devising, rehearsing and performing an improvised scene.

Module 1.2 – The Tempest

Exploring The Tempest as an introduction to Shakespeare.

Module 1.3 - Mime

Mime, the importance of non-verbal communication, confidence and concentration. Choral Speaking using a variety of poems to explore a wider range of vocal expression and to improve performance skills including the converntions of choral work and stylised movement.

Module 1.4 – Scriptwork

Reading a script, writing an individual script, exploring sound effects, making, rehearsing, and taping a play.
