Ethics Paper 1 ½ hours 90 Marks

Connections paper 1 ½ hours. 120 Marks

Candidates at St. Aloysius use the option of doing one of these papers by writing a 2500 word piece of coursework, presented early in January. Usually they write an ethics essay instead of doing that examination.

The connections paper aims to show that the candidates understand the links between the philosophy and the ethics they study.

The candidates are asked to write two essays from a choice of six, on the Philosophy and Ethics papers, and three on the connections paper.

The marks achieved are added to the AS results giving the following grades:

A 480+

C 360+

D 300+

E 240+
