Welcome to the website for St Aloysius’ College. I hope that it will provide you with a helpful insight into our community and our hopes and aspirations for all who belong to it.

As a Catholic School, our first responsibility is to help parents raise their children. In partnership with them, and in common with all Jesuit Schools, over the centuries and throughout the world, our aim is the:
Improvement in living and learning for the greater glory of God and the common good. St Ignatius Loyola
In seeking to be faithful to this vision, our first task is to help our pupils to be happy and secure, to build a community based on mutual respect, friendship and care for one another. This creates the right environment for young people, as individuals, to grow and be challenged to develop their talents to the full. Any parent will know that no two children are the same and by building community we seek to enable the individual to thrive and grow in the responsible use of freedom so that every young man and woman in our care can learn how to lead a good and fulfilled life.
We want every pupil to be successful, to reach his or her potential in academic study, sport and the arts and, in so doing, understand that God can be found in all things and that our gifts and talents should be used for ourselves and in the service of others. This philosophy underpins everything that we do. Indeed, it is the basis of our life in the College.
We place great emphasis on religious development and moral education. In our increasingly secular world we are very clear and confident in offering a vision of life based on faith in God and the message of salvation that brings joy and love.
By being confident of our heritage and secure in our roots, we know that, with your help, we can achieve our aims and prepare our young men and women for living and working in the 21st century.
