DROPPING COURSES

In admitting pupils to the College, the school makes a judgement that they are able to cope with the demands of the College curriculum. Learning Support is timetabled in S1 and S2.

All pupils are expected to undertake the full curriculum of studies:

• S1 and S2 pupils follow a common curriculum in 16 subjects - some by rotation to lessen the range studied at any one time.

• S3 and S4 pupils take English, Maths, RE and six option subjects.

• S5 pupils follow five courses leading to National Qualifications at Higher.

• Sixth Year pupils follow four academic courses, two at an advanced level (Advanced Higher or 'A' Level) plus Theology.

It is College policy that pupils may not drop subjects.
