FORBIDDEN ITEMS
Pupils are strictly forbidden to bring the following items to school:
If there is a good reason, on a particular occasion, for bringing a proscribed item to school, a parental note must be sent to the Housemaster (or Head of Section in the Junior School) who will decide whether or not to issue a permission slip. Permission should never be presumed by either parents or pupils.
Pupils who bring forbidden items to school without permission in advance will be punished.
Mobile 'phones may be brought to school but should only be used in emergencies or to communicate with parents at the end of the school day. They may not be switched on during class time. Parents who need to communicate with their children during the school day are asked to contact the House Office.
Mobile 'phones are not allowed on school trips.
Sixth Year pupils may bring mobile 'phones to school provided they are switched off in lessons and are not otherwise used around the school in an intrusive way.
