As pupils progress through the Junior School they are increasingly encouraged to take responsibility for themselves and their learning as a preparation for entry into the Senior School. P7 pupils enjoy a wide variety of activities which contribute to their formation as responsible young people. From the debating of difficult social issues to outdoor education and drama the emphasis is on creating well rounded, confident learners. P7 is an important intake point at St Aloysius’ College and great care is taken to help new pupils feel at home. Sporting and educational trips play a large part in achieving this. The P7 Co-ordinator liaises closely with the Head of S1 to ensure that the transition from the primary to secondary education, both academically and socially, is as smooth as possible. |
