The College’s seven year Outdoor Education programme is unique. It introduces pupils to a variety of challenging pursuits such as climbing, hill walking, mountain biking, sailing and canoeing. All P7 pupils participate in the John Muir Award (environmental award scheme), all S1 pupils attend a week long outdoor pursuits course (cost included in school fees), all S2 and S3 pupils participate in water sport and climbing activities with the opportunity to gain the appropriate proficiency awards.
From S4 onwards pupils may opt to progress further through the school’s Mountaineering, Kayaking and Sailing Clubs, as well the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme and our S6 Expedition.
Outdoor Education is organised by a qualified full time member of staff. |
