Our thriving Art Department seeks to develop pupils’ creativity by means of an extensive range of disciplines: drawing and painting, textile and fashion design, computer-aided design, printing and 3D construction. The subject is popular as an option at Intermediate 2, Higher and Advanced Higher. In addition, the department offers a range of extra-curricular activities, including photography, graffiti art and building props and scenery for school shows.

The Department enjoys good relations with the nearby Glasgow School of Art, which generously provides access to a number of its facilities. Recent field trips for senior pupils have included visits to major galleries in London and New York.
