Our pupils enjoy keeping fit and healthy through our commitment to sport. All pupils enjoy regular PE lessons and, for older pupils, games lessons. The concepts and skills learned in classes are reinforced through co-curricular Sports activities.

The teaching staff have a very important role to play in the College's Sport-based co-curricular activities, encouraging pupils to find their strengths and enjoy physical activity.
In the Early Years section, these specialist teachers provide the children with the ideal platform from which to build confidence and enthusiasm for sport, with fun at the heart of most physical activity.
Once they reach the Juniors section, the boys and girls will have developed a level of self-assurance that will allow them to participate in a wide range of both individual and team-based sporting activities.
All pupils from P4 to P7 build their activity levels with weekly games sessions in rugby at Millerston and in hockey at Strathclyde University hockey fields at Stepps.
Interclass hockey and rugby competitions are one of the highlights of the sporting calendar and provide the perfect opportunity for all pupils in P6 and P7 to showcase the skills they have been honing throughout their time at the Junior School in a competitive environment.
There are also matches and competitions between the College and other schools, with the P6 girls invited to take part in the annual friendly match at Craigholme School, as well as a hockey tournament later in the term. During their final year in the Junior School, the girls take part in weekly hockey matches on Saturday mornings, with training also taking place on a weekly basis.
Similarly, the boys take part in an extensive programme of matches with other schools which take place on a Saturday mornings and act as the perfect preparation for P7 when training steps up after school and fixtures become more regular on Saturday mornings.
Although hockey and rugby are the principal activities, athletics, swimming, golf, volleyball, gymnastics, cricket, tennis and Scottish country dancing are all integrated into the PE curriculum, with optional co-curricular activities also on offer in these areas.
