As part of the continuing celebrations for the College’s 150th Anniversary, the Junior and Senior School music departments produced a diverse musical event which was performed at the Royal Concert Hall before a large and appreciative audience of parents and guests.
The first half of the concert included two First Performances - a setting of the Suscipe of St Ignatius by Howard Goodall for two choirs, two pianos and Javanese gamelan, and a set of Burns Songs for Junior Choir and orchestra by Liam Devlin, performed by the chorus of the whole of the upper Junior School.
The programme concluded with a performance by the College Choir of Carmina Burana of Carl Orff, in which the soloists were the international soprano, Ann Archibald, and the baritone Phil Gault. The Head Master thanked the College Music Staff: Laura Allen, Tom Daniels and Liam Devlin, as well as all the staff of the Junior School and Kindergarten for their hard work.
