Junior Choir to Join Opera Group for Magical Summer Arts Show

Delight in Learning

St Aloysius’ College is pleased to announce details for the Summer Arts Show 2016 which will present three magical performances from The College Opera Group and guest appearances from the award winning Junior School Choir and Schola Cantorum.

This year’s Summer Arts Show promises to be a true delight for the senses with the St Aloysius’ College Opera Group taking centre stage to perform highlights from Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and Strauss’ Die Flerdermaus.

Due to limited seating in the College Hall there will be two productions of the Summer Arts Show this year, one will take place on Monday 20 June at 7pm and another on Tuesday 21 June at 7pm.

The Senior School’s Schola Cantorum will join the Opera Group to perform a set from their outstanding repertoire during Monday evening’s performance whilst the award winning Junior School Choir will perform on Tuesday evening.

Tickets for the show are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children and are available now from the St Aloysius’ College Reception.

The Opera Group will also be tuning up for the Summer Show with a free lunchtime performance in Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh, on Thursday 9 June as part of their Concerts at 12 series.
