Junior School Head Boy and Girl 2018/19

Personal Excellence

We are delighted to announce our Junior School Head Boy and Girl for 2018/19, Hadyn McGuigan and Emma Urwin. We caught up with them last week to learn why they went for the position and what it means to them...

"I am so privileged and excited to have the role of Head Girl and I can’t wait to get started on lots of projects.

There are two reasons why I applied for head girl. The first reason is I wanted to be really involved in school life by working on different projects and meeting new people. The second reason is I thought I could be a great role model to all the younger pupils in the school.

I think i can be a good head girl by always representing the school in a positive manner and encouraging all pupils to to do the best they can possibly do.

Being chosen for head girl is an amazing opportunity. This role is really important to me because it is a big responsibility and a chance to help the school to be the best it can be.  I loved attending the Ignite conference and I look forward to more projects, fun times and meeting new people in the future"

"I applied for the position of Head Boy because I firmly believe I have the skills, experience and personal qualities necessary to represent the school as Head Boy.

I am a conscientious and well-mannered pupil. During my time at St Aloysius College I have developed many qualities, the main ones being strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills. I consistently apply myself to the best of my ability in all areas of Aloysian life.

I am very dedicated and committed to the life of St Aloysius College and I hope to offer guidance and support to other pupils.

One of the advantages of being considered a trustworthy and conscientious pupil is that I have frequently been selected to show visitors around the school. Furthermore, I have received positive feedback from parents during open evenings and I feel I have represented the school to a high standard. I have found it really encouraging when teachers have commented on my kind and caring nature.

In public, people often comment on my polite nature therefore demonstrating my ability to represent the school in a positive manner. I aim to be an inspiration and an outstanding role model to everyone."
