Make a Difference

St Aloysius’ College is delighted to announce details of two expert speakers who will drive the debate during this year’s Autumn Lecture Series, 'Mercy on the Margins' which has been organised by the Centre for Social and Environmental Justice.

Organised by the St Aloysius’ College Centre for Social and Environmental Justice, the autumn lecture series ‘Mercy on the Margins’ will present two public lectures in the St Aloysius’ College Hall in September.

Both lectures will take direct inspiration from Pope Francis' Extraordinary Year of Mercy and will discuss ways in which we can serve our fellow man and our planet with more compassion and justice.

On Tuesday September 6 at 7pm, Paul Chitnis, the Director of Jesuit Missions, will give a talk entitled ‘Beyond doubt and indifference to responsibility: three critical concepts for reconciliation with creation’.

On Tuesday 13 September at 7pm, Br. Thomas Dziekan CSC, who was formerly Vicar General Congregation of Holy Cross, will give a lecture entitled ‘Mercy on the margins: A reflection: "There is no need for them to go away; give them some food yourselves".
