Success for Sadhbh in Nancy Rothwell Award

Success for Sadhbh in Nancy Rothwell Award

Personal Excellence

A Primary 7 pupil has been awarded a top commendation after her drawing was rated in the top ten in a competition run by the Royal Society of Biology.

Sadhbh Quail of P7L, was one of only ten entries to be awarded a 'highly commended' rating in the Royal Society of Biology's 'Nancy Rothwell Award' - earning her a spot on the society's social media page.

Sadhbh's specimen drawing, above, was one of almost 300 entries to the competition, with her composition earning the highly commended prize in the 7 - 11 category.

The judges were pleased to see the variety of specimens chosen and impressed by the high standard of drawings – it was a very difficult task to select the 10 highly commended drawings! Keep an eye on the society's Pinterest board where the highly commended drawings now feature.
