Under 16 Hockey Team

Congratulations to the girls in the West District Under 16 Hockey Team who had to settle for second place in the Inter District Tournament after a running penalty competition with East.

Congratulations to Anna Hoolaghan, Caragh Chong and Niamh Green who will now be presented with their Inter District Tournament Silver medals by the Head Master.

1st XI Hockey Team

The 1st XI played in the West District Senior Tournament on Wednesday.  They were second in their section to High School.  They then won the semi-final on sudden death running penalties against Hutcheson’s Grammar.  Particularly well done to our running penalty takers and Caragh Chong in goals for keeping cool, calm heads and getting the job done! 

In the final, the girls supported each other throughout the game and beat High School 1-0 scoring from a well-executed corner.

The girls played excellent hockey throughout the afternoon and demonstrated great strength and determination to get their result against High School in the final, winning them the West District Shield to take home.

We are very proud of all of the girls!

SQA Awards Following Marking Reviews

Over the past few weeks and at this year’s Prize Giving we have been recognising the achievements of all our pupils in this year’s SQA exams.  This morning we would like to recognise the achievements of four pupils who have had their exam results reviewed by SQA and their grades upgraded.

A certificate to Seonaidh Morrison for achieving 9 National 5s at A grade.

A Hanson Prize is the award for achieving three or more A grades in your Highers and I would like to congratulate the following pupils on achieving their Hanson Prizes:
