Cook (Term time) -  £9.18 per hour

St Aloysius’ College is recruiting a Cook to assist in the efficient running of our catering service for all school customers.  The successful applicant will assist with the preparation and presentation of all school meals providing a lively and interesting variety of food which is relevant to the school’s needs and will also be required to assist with the preparation of hospitality events  The food produced must be well presented and within the established cost criteria.

Previous experience in a school environment is desirable, however experience of bulk preparation and cooking with service on a strict deadline is essential. Applicants must have an Intermediate food hygiene certificate along with City & Guilds 706-1 and 706-2 or NVQ equivalent.

The position is term time which equates to 39 weeks per year and the successful candidate will be required to work 32.5 hours per week.  The core hours are 7.30am until 2.30pm, however, some degree of flexibility is required and there may be a requirement to work the occasional evening and weekend.
