Gonzaga Lecture Series to Celebrate Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy

The St Aloysius’ College Gonzaga Lecture Series 2016 will celebrate the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy with three fascinating lectures on the theme of mercy taking place at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow throughout February.

The 2016 Gonzaga Lecture series will open with theological reflection on Mercy and Sin by Bishop Hugh Gilbert OSB, the Bishop of Aberdeen, on Tuesday 16 February.

Lord Maurice Glasman, a senior lecturer in Political Theory at London’s Metropolitan University, will then deliver a lecture entitled “Foundations of Mercy? Catholic Social Teaching and the New Politics” on Monday 22 February.

The Gonzaga Lecture Series 2016 will then be rounded off on Friday 26 February by Lord David Alton who will deliver his lecture entitled “The Mercy Factory: Catholic Education and the fight for Human Rights”.

All lectures will begin at 7.30pm in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, 232 – 242 St Vincent Street, Glasgow.
