Oskar Wilkie - Manchester Marathon Achievement

Oskar Wilkie - Manchester Marathon Achievement

Well done to OA Oskar Wilkie (Class of '18) who recently completed the Manchester Marathon in 3 hours 38 minutes - his first marathon after completing the Liverpool Half Marathon. For three months prior the marathon, Oskar put himself through an intensive training programme, taking to the streets of Manchester each night to practice his run.

Oskar broke his fundraising target, raising over £1800 for 2 charities close to his heart. In memory of his grandfather, Iain Macleod, who was a former College Captain, part of the donations will go to Organ Donation Scotland. Oskar also raised money for Alzheimer’s Scotland, inspired by his grandmother.

This is an amazing achievement, especially as Oskar completed the half-marathon and full marathon within 3 weeks of each other. Well done Oskar!
