Aloysian Community to get together for Business Networking Event

The next St Aloysius’ College Business Network Event will take place at 200 St Vincent Street on Monday 23 May and will offer members of the Aloysian community unique Networking opportunities as well as the chance to hear from guest speakers OA Gerry McCusker, CEO of Dog Digital, and Coretta Barry, Director of Patten Consulting.

The St Aloysius’ College Business Network is open to current and former parents and OAs who work, or have a particular interest in, the corporate sector.

OA Gerry McCusker: Owner and CEO, DOG Digital

As Chief Executive of Dog Digital, Gerry has driven their expansion from a Glasgow creative agency into a global presence with offices in London, Singapore and Jakarta. As a native of the digital industry, Gerry was instrumental in setting up two successful internet businesses prior to joining Dog and continues to apply his entrepreneurial flair and strategic vision to the business.

Having worked in the digital industry for over 17 years, Gerry holds a huge amount of experience and expertise and is often called upon to speak at global industry events for high profile organisations such as the Internet Advertising Bureau, Marketing Society, Social Media Week Singapore and the PGA ThinkTank.

Gerry is passionate about the development of future talent – and with a diverse background of Electronic Engineering, French and Marketing degrees in addition to an MBA - Gerry regularly addresses students attending leading universities such as the University of Westminster, the University of Glasgow and Strathclyde University.

Coretta Barry, Parent at St Aloysius’ College: Director Patten Consulting Ltd

Coretta is a chartered psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Coretta founded Patten Consulting in 2005 with the key aim of bringing tangible and practical solutions from psychology to everyday business. Patten Consulting helps businesses achieve positive results by guiding supportive but disciplined leadership and management practice.

Coretta will also speak about ‘Changing the Chemistry’, a multi-talented group of people drawn together from a wide variety of backgrounds to work towards increasing diversity on all types of Boards, as evidence suggests that increasing board diversity improves the performance of organisations and can thereby also benefit the wider economy.
