Personal Excellence

Aloysians Swimmers, Martin McInnes of S6 and Mark Ford of S1, represented the College and themselves superbly at the Scottish Schools Swimming Championships where they both managed to win medals competing against the best young swimmers from all over Scotland.

Martin and Mark represented St Aloysius’ College at the Scottish Schools Swimming Championships at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.

Martin of S6, who experienced success last year at the Glasgow Schools Swimming Finals, added a national-level Bronze medal to his collection when he claimed third place against a highly competitive field in the 17 - 19 year old 400m Freestyle event.

Mark, meanwhile, earned himself two silver medals with second place finishes in the 100m and 200m Fly events, competing in the 13 – 14 year old age category.

Martin and Mark's achievements were celebrated at Senior School Assembly in St Aloysius Church as part of the College's weekly Celebrating Success.
