At the end of term – the College will be saying ciao to Modern Languages teacher Mr Kyle, who is retiring after 33 years with us. A fitting tribute was made at our recent Celebrating Success assembly from the Modern Languages department, which reminded us how thankful we are to have had Mr. Kyle at our school.
Mr. Kyle is quite simply a legend and will be sorely missed by our whole Aloysian community. In addition to being a passionate linguist, he has been involved in everything from trips, exchanges, and retreats, including Kairos, to many school shows – his rendition of Greensleeves is legendary – and his language teaching will be very fondly remembered by pupils past and present, some of whom are now parents of young people at the College. We wish Mr. Kyle/DJK/Jim a long, happy, and healthy retirement.
