From August this year, we have been very lucky to have Rosie Souter, a recent graduate from The Glasgow School of Art, as our artist in residence within our Senior School Art department.
Rosie Souter is a Silversmith and jewellery designer and since graduating, Rosie has exhibited at New Designers in London as well as continuing to make and promote her own work!
As artist in residence within the Art department Rosie has been working with S1, S2 and S3 on a design project working through a variety of design processes and techniques.
This has given pupils the opportunity to work through the design process of transforming paper models into metal wire and sheet samples, demonstrating how to manipulate materials and the different areas of design that they can progress into within the creative industries!
We are very thankful to have had Rosie in our Art department over the last few months and wish her all the best for the future!
