“Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger” James 1:19
We are very excited to share with you the inaugural edition of The St Aloysius College Podcast! We’ve been working hard behind the scenes of this project for the past few weeks, led by our Head of Digital Learning Mr. Graeme Smith, with an aim to bring Aloysian stories to the wider community.
The St Aloysius’ College Podcast explores faith, education, the history of the College and Catholicism in Glasgow, and what it means to be a pupil, parent or staff member at the school.
In this first episode, join the Superior of the Jesuits in Scotland Fr Roger Dawson SJ, a Jesuit priest and clinical psychologist, as he chats with Primary 5 teacher and local legend Mr Eddie Gilmartin about his 85-year connection with the College. As well as his 30 years teaching at the school, Eddie discusses lockdown learning, how faith has shaped his teaching and his stint as an amateur goalie…
Future podcast guests include current and past members of staff, pupils, Old Aloysians, and other members of our special community.
Thank you to Mr. Smith for producing the podcast, to Jonathan S. (S6) for designing the show’s logo, and to Carlota D. (P7) and Madeline S. (P7) for composing and performing the opening theme tune.
