Santa Visits Junior School for Christmas Jumper Day

Santa Visits Junior School for Christmas Jumper Day

Delight in Learning

St Aloysius’ College is a magical place to be in the run up to Christmas and when the College held its Christmas Jumper Day last week a very special visitor flew into the Junior School to meet some very excited pupils.

When Santa visited St Aloysius’ College he arrived at Junior School and was met by shouts of joy from delighted Aloysians who cued up nicely for their chance to sit in his sleigh and say what they would like for Christmas.

Whilst waiting, the pupils had the chance to meet Santa’s real reindeer, Pogo and Princess, from the British Reindeer Herders Association, a charity set-up to promote the welfare of Reindeer in the UK.

Santa told the teachers that he was very impressed with the behaviour of all the young Aloysians before flying back to the North Pole just as the pupils went to the Refectory for their special Christmas lunch.

Aloysians of all ages enjoyed their traditional Christmas lunch and Senior School pupils and staff also took part in Christmas Jumper Day, raising donations of almost £550 for College charities, the Children’s Fund and the Lourdes Pilgrimage.
