St. Al's at COP26

Some of our Seniors were able to travel to the COP26 Green Zone to ScottishPower Renewables' Let's Talk Energy Event.

At the event, we got to speak to lots of influential people, such as the CEO of ScottishPower Renewables, Lindsay McQuade, and the CEO of UK Energy, Emma Pinchbeck. As part of a workshop, we worked with these CEOs and were able to ask them some questions and discuss energy use policies and priorities for governments when it comes to renewable energy. During the workshop, some of our pupils were filmed by the Channel 4 news team as part of a special news bulletin on youth climate action.

We are so thankful to have been able to see a small part of such a historic event!
