We have a vacancy for a part-time Receptionist within our modern and welcoming Sports Hall facility. We are located in the city centre within easy walking distance of an underground station, 3 train stations and multiple bus routes.
The main function of the role is to ensure that visitor access is closely monitored and emergency communication as required is carried out effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all visitors are logged in and out of the facility. They will monitor the CCTV cameras on-site to ensure that the area is operating safely.
Other responsibilities include the evacuation of premises in the event of a fire alarm and training can be provided in order that the post holder can provide emergency first aid as required. In addition, there may be some minor administrative tasks to be undertaken.
Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be highly organised. A mature common-sense approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure are also key to the role. Previous experience in a customer-facing role would be an advantage.
This post may suit a student looking to combine their studies with part-time work.
Application forms, PVG Enquiry Forms and a letter of application setting out your skills relevant to this post should be sent to Lesley Little in the Human Resources Department at email@example.com by 12 noon on Monday 20 January 2020.
St Aloysius’ College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. There will be a significant level of interaction with pupils and staff and therefore the successful post holder must be capable of being a member of the PVG scheme run by Disclosure Scotland. Appointment will be dependent upon being admitted to the scheme, the cost of which will be met by the College.
All applications must be made on the College Application form. CVs will not be accepted.
