Welcome to St Aloysius’ College Junior School. Whether you are a current family, a prospective parent, or simply discovering what makes our College such a special place, I am delighted to welcome you.

My name is Isabelle Erskine, and I have the privilege of serving as Head of Junior School. Having been part of this community for over three decades, St Aloysius’ College is not just where I work — it is a place I know deeply and care about profoundly.

Throughout my time here, I have seen generations of young people grow, flourish, and move on into the world with confidence, compassion, and a strong sense of purpose. That continuity and commitment are part of what makes St Aloysius’ College so special. The values that drew me to the College all those years ago remain at the heart of everything we do today.

As a Jesuit school, we believe in educating the whole child. In the Junior School, this means placing equal importance on academic excellence, personal development, wellbeing, and faith. Every child is known and valued as an individual, encouraged to discover their talents and grow in kindness and understanding of others.

What I love most about the College is its strong sense of community. From the warmth of our classrooms to the relationships built between pupils, staff, and families, there is a genuine spirit of care and belonging. Our Junior School is a place where children feel safe to be curious, to challenge themselves, and to enjoy learning.

Our classrooms are vibrant, engaging spaces where learning is purposeful and joyful. Alongside a rich and broad curriculum, we nurture character, reflection, and a sense of social responsibility — hallmarks of a Jesuit education.

As Head of Junior School, I believe deeply in partnership with families. Working together, we support each child to become confident learners and thoughtful young people, ready for the next stage of their education and beyond.
